How Your Donations Save Cats' Lives

A transparent look at where donations to Carson Cats Rescue go — from a single vet visit to programs that transform whole neighborhoods.
Where every dollar goes
Carson Cats Rescue is an all-volunteer organization. There are no paid staff — every dollar donated goes directly to the care of cats: veterinary treatment, food, litter, medications, spay/neuter surgery, and the operational essentials that keep the rescue running (insurance, small-scale supplies, and community events).
$25 feeds a foster kitten
Twenty-five dollars covers a month of kitten food and litter for a foster litter of four kittens — from bottle-baby through adoption readiness.
$100 covers vaccines and testing
One hundred dollars pays for a full vaccine series, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming, and microchipping — the medical basics that make adoption possible.
$250 funds a spay/neuter
A single spay or neuter surgery — including anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery — costs about $250. That one surgery prevents dozens of unwanted kittens.
Recurring gifts multiply impact
A monthly gift of $10, $25, or $50 lets us plan medical care confidently and rescue proactively rather than reactively. Recurring donors are the backbone of our lifesaving work.
