Getting started is simple. Send us a short note using the form on this page. Tell us a bit about yourself, the roles that interest you, and any relevant skills or experience. Our volunteer coordinator will reach out within a few business days to invite you to an orientation session.
New volunteers attend a one-hour orientation (online or in person) that covers who we are, how we operate, safety protocols, and the specific expectations of your chosen role. From there, we pair you with an experienced volunteer mentor who supports you through your first few shifts.
Some roles are hands-on and require regular time commitments (adoption events, transport, animal care). Others are project-based and remote (graphic design, grant writing, photography editing). Whatever fits your life is welcome. Volunteers must be 18 or older to work independently; younger volunteers are welcome when accompanied by a participating adult.

Tell us how you'd like to help.
